RUNWAY REPORT
Pakistani designer Muhammed Asim Jofa's Fall line drew a packed house to close Day 4 of Dubai Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011. Inspired by monarchy, the collection took a subtle approach to the extravagance associated with royalty. Renowned for his exquisite jewellery designs, Asim Jofa ensured his appreciation for intricate details was brought on to his collection, as he treated each creation as a piece of jewellery.

The 42-piece collection comprised ensembles in a variety of plush fabrics ranging from chiffons to chamois embroidered with white gold, embedded with precious stones and Swarovski crystals.

Glamorous creations in vibrant green, camel brown, white, lavender, blue and pink were heavily encrusted with crystals, as the precious stones worked their way into necklines, waist pieces and side panelling. Highlights included an outfit with a crystal halter bodice ending in a voluminous red silk skirt that garnered much audience appreciation; a low-waist brown outfit with an encrusted bustier and a freely flowing tunic in green, brown and white.
